Combining the gas trapping ability of military carbon cloth and HEPA's particle filtration Austin engineers have created HEGA filtration - High Efficiency Gas Adsorption. Designed specifically for allergy and asthma sufferers. It provides identical particle removal capacity and efficiency of the HealthMate Jr.™. Because the carbon cloth does not release carbon dust when air passes through it, the design of the filter places the True Medical HEPA paper on the outside of the filter allowing the air to pass through the paper before it passes through the carbon. Because of this design, all of the airborne particles are removed before the air contacts the carbon. The total surface area of the carbon is available for gas removal only and its useful life is increased.
