| How it works: This filter is designed to last five years under normal residential use. The HealthMate Plus™ filter (Select white for your sandstone or white Healthmate Plus or black for your Black Healthmate Plus) is specifically designed for the Chemically Sensitive. Along with all of the protection of the Standard HealthMate™ filter, the carbon/zeolite in the HealthMate Plus™ filter has been specially treated with potassium iodide - a special compound that enhances the adsorption of thousands of odors and gases. Nearly 15 lbs. mixture of solid activated carbon and zeolite impregnated with potassium iodide to remove harmful gasses for chemically sensitive. Finally, 60 sq. ft. of True Medical HEPA filter paper removes harmful airborne particles as small as 0.3 microns. Filter has foam sealing gaskets on the top and bottom Filter measures 13.5" diameter, 14.5" height Filter weight is 23 lbs. Each replacement filter kit includes a new pre-filter. Changing Your Filter: 1. Unplug the unit from its power outlet. 2. Turn the unit upside down on a soft surface to avoid scratching the unit. 3. Remove the four retaining screws from the bottom cover. 4. Lift the bottom cover off and set aside. 5. Wearing your work gloves, grasp the filter, carefully lift it out and place in a plastic trash bag. 6. Remove the pre-filter. 7. Replace pre-filter. 8. Install new filter making sure the label side is down toward the motor. 9. Replace bottom cover. 10. Replace 4 screws. 11. Run the filter on high for at least 1 hour. Filtera puts the "A" in filter!
